Texas Queensland

What do you say about Texas, this little town has so much history & sights to see. From the Rabbit Works, to the Heritage Museum. The old buildings in the main street are a work of art. Go out from Texas & you will find Glenlyon Dam, who knew that something this amazing would be set out in the bush. You will drive through huge cattle stations & see some of the most beautiful flora & fauna this country has to offer. On arriving at the dam you will come to a lookout drive down further and you will cross the dam wall coming out at a caravan park. This park is right on the dam with people swimming & fishing. On the footpaths you will see kangaroos laying in the sun. What a magical place Glenlyon Dam is.

Texas is know for Tobacco Growing & the Rabbit Works, these tours are a must there is so much to see & do in this region. Stanthorpe is about an hours drive from Texas. Visit the Dumareq River surrounded by tall willowing gum trees, and water flowing in the river. You can free camp here for a maximum of 14 days. Well worth the visit.
